Surfaced Cherry Board, Character Grade, 15/16" x 5¾" x 47⅞" (CH-003)

This is the exact board you'll receive. One piece of cherry, surfaced on both faces and straight-lined on both edges, so it's ready to go straight to your project. This is cherry with a story to tell. The front ripples with wavy grain and a soft cathedral toward one end, sprinkled throughout with the dark gum pockets and flecks that cherry lovers look for. The back has even more going on, with a dramatic dark swirl of figure near the center, a rich dark streak at one end, and plenty of gum pockets tracing along the grain.

Cherry is a joy to work. It machines cleanly, sands smooth, and takes a finish beautifully. Give it some time and light and it'll deepen into that rich reddish-brown cherry is famous for. Character boards like this shine in rustic furniture, boxes, serving trays, and anything where you want the wood to show it grew in a real tree.
