Surfaced Black Walnut Board, 15/16" x 5" x 46" (WA-002)

This is the exact board you'll receive. One piece of black walnut, surfaced on both faces and straight-lined on both edges, so it's ready to go straight to your project. The front opens with stacked cathedral arches at one end and builds to a striking oval "eye" in the grain toward the other, with lighter caramel tones swirling at its center. The back mirrors it with its own big oval figure and sweeping arches, plus a couple of tiny pin knots you'd have to hunt for.

Walnut is the wood a lot of makers save for their best work, and it's easy to see why. It machines cleanly, takes a finish like a dream, and that deep color only gets richer with oil. It's a great fit for boxes, serving boards, picture frames, small furniture, and anything that deserves to be handed down.
