This is the exact board you'll receive. One piece of elm, surfaced on both faces and straight-lined on both edges, so it's ready to go straight to your project. The front centers on a long, elegant cathedral that stretches nearly half the board, flanked by a cluster of pin knots and a round knot toward one end. Flip it over and the back is busier and full of character, with swirling grain, scattered pin knots, a dark knot near one end, and an open knot near the other that gives it real rustic charm.

Boards like this are perfect for small furniture parts, shelves, boxes, cutting boards, picture frames, or anything where you want the wood to do some of the talking. Elm's interlocked grain makes it tough and resistant to splitting, though it'll keep your planer blades honest, so sharp tools are your friend.
