Surfaced Ash Board, Select, 15/16" x 5¾" x 29¼" (AS-002)

This is the exact board you'll receive. One piece of ash, surfaced on both faces and straight-lined on both edges, so it's ready to go straight to your project. This is about as clean as ash gets. The front is a showcase of bold cathedral arches stacking down the full length, framed by tight, straight grain along both edges. The back has its own cathedral at one end and long, even grain lines across the rest, with no knots on either face.

Ash is strong, springy, and shock-resistant, which is why it's long been the choice for tool handles, baseball bats, and chair parts. It works well with hand and power tools, takes stain evenly, and its light, creamy color makes a great backdrop for that dramatic grain. At just under 30", this board is a great size for box sides, picture frames, small shelves, and cutting boards.
